The fact that we see dogs as compagnions and not as food is of no importance. If that was the only objection we could come up with, we should be labeled hypocrites. But there is a very good reason why this should be stopped. And that is the way these dogs were treated when they were still alive. I won't go into that in any detail, because it is actually very gory and stomach turning, But it should stop.
Of course the same goes for almost any other live produce in the far East. Being kind to animals is still a new item there, generally speaking of course. But then again, you wouldn't want me to tell you what goes on in our slaughterhouses, in our chicken and pig factories etc, etc. I still eat meat, but I'm in the lucky circumstance that we can get good meat, from animals that have lived a fairly normal life, through our restaurant. If I was forced to eat the crap that comes from our meat-processing industry, I would become a vegetarian overnight.

Fish then maybe? The sad news is, people, that our seas are empty. Again through the restaurant I talk to a lot of fishermen and they all say the same. The seas are empty, and if we don't cut back on our fishing they will stay empty.

Eating fish from Fishing nurseries perhaps? Sure. If you want to eat salmon that are being fed through an ingenious system. You see, friends, they build a chicken farm on top of a nice bay ful of baby Salmon, and then they feed the chicken with stuff that has some red coloring agent in it, and the chickens shit through holes in the floor right into the murky waters of the bay for the nice little salmon to gobble up so they can become the big juicy pink salmon that you are all going to eat for christmas.

PLease don't get me started by crying over a few dog carcasses, sad as the sight may be. There are bigger concerns when it comes to eating dead animals.
