Look on the bright side, at least you have some idea of when it will be over. Last October the builder arrived here to replace the hot water boiler. To date we have also installed a new central heating system, a new shiny kitchen and had the majority of the electrical wiring replaced. During the repainting the builder got a hernia and all work ground to a halt. All my stuff is still buried under piles of other stuff until work in the room by the kitchen is finished. There is still no lock on the bathroom door and a gaping hole between where my bed should be and the street (admitedly it has a few inches of "temporary" plaster to stop draughts) and there is no way to know when it will be over.
Needless to say the muffsharks are welcome here anywhen but i suspect the overcrowding would mean eating dinner on the stairs whilst we try not to see who is drowning in hot water!
