I'm most probably getting a new PC. Soon. And I have no money. But I'm getting one anyway.

MWAHAHAHAHHA ^______^ I also don't have any money but I also would like to buy one anyway.

Hehehe.. anyway.. I dunno much about the lastest multi core processor scene. I also don't know much about Windows Vista.

But something for sure... If you're in for a budget processor ( US$ 500) go for Athlon X2 - 4200+ instead of using Intel low ends.... but if money if not an object then go for the XE 965 or XE 955 since XE 965 and XE 955 is Intel best of breed in terms of price / performance. (It was their answer for getting their previous XE / D kicked in the butt by Athlon half a year ago)

Anyway.. here's a link that you might find useful, it's a review for AMD FX-60 and compares it to Intel 955 for Intel 965 you can have a look at tomshardware.com

Me.. I'm going for Athlon X2 -3800+ this wednesday.. ^___^ I can't stand my celeron 450 anymore..

EDIT: SOME CONSIDERATIONS

Talked with a friend of mine yest about buying new computer and some thoughts comes up during the conversation

I've a limited budget so an X2 - 3800+ might be a bit lame for Vista by the time it comes out. And even if I buy a high end one. By the time Vista comes out that high end one might be just mediocre and the price should be around one third of when it was purchased. If it should suffice he told me that I'd rather buy it by then. Another thing is that Athlon has been using socket 939 for awhile so it'd be an advantage to use Athlon. ^___^

Just wanna share that with you.. ^___^
